Job summary

Seattle Parks and Recreation is seeking a Truck Driver to support citywide operations with dump, packer, and specialized trucks. You will lead a crew, drive to multiple sites, and ensure safe operation under City, State, and Federal rules.

The role requires CDL Class A with airbrake removed, and ability to work in varied weather and urban/rural conditions. Ideal candidates have 3+ years driving experience, knowledge of Seattle routing, and the ability to collaborate with trades and contractors.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience operating trucks over 10,000 lbs GVW or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of City, State, and Federal truck regulations for safe operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump, packer, and specialty trucks to move materials and equipment to sites.
• Lead crew for road patching, culverts, and brush work; manage records.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair trucks and attachments; document mileage.
• Load/unload heavy equipment and materials; operate attachments as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
