Job summary

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is seeking skilled truck drivers to support city parks and maintenance operations. The role covers operating various trucks, loading and unloading materials, and collaborating with a crew for road and site maintenance.

A valid CDL and knowledge of safety regulations are required. Applicants should be comfortable working in diverse weather conditions, with strong teamwork and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Drive single or double-axle dump trucks with trailers to haul materials, equipment, and supplies to various sites.
• Drive a packer truck to pick up refuse and transport it to the transfer station.
• Operate trucks with specialized street and sewer cleaning attachments (flusher, vactor, sewer eductor).
• Haul and spread gravel, sand, salt, oil, asphalt, and other materials for street maintenance and ice control.
• Inspect and maintain trucks and attached equipment for safe operation.
