Job summary

GEX Transport is seeking experienced CDL Class A drivers for regional routes with weekly home time. Over the Road or Regional experience is acceptable for this role.

Compensation is $1500 to $1760 per week with home weekly schedule. The operating area includes the Eastern Mid-Atlantic region (NC, VA, MD, PA, DE, DC) and about 1480 miles per week. Duties include pre/post trip inspections, timely deliveries and clear communication with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Clean motor vehicle record and background checks.
• Ability to pass a DOT drug screen (Urine and Hair Follicle Test).

Responsibilities

• Complete pre trip and post trip inspections and deliver freight on time.
• Maintain accurate logs and trip documentation.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and driver managers.
• Operate in the Eastern Mid-Atlantic region including NC, VA, MD, PA, DE, DC.

Day Off, Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs: Out for 5 days and home for 2 days.

Operating Area

Eastern Mid-Atlantic region, including North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington DC.

1480.

Duties.

Requirements.

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Clean motor vehicle record and background checks.
• Ability to pass a DOT drug screen (Urine and Hair Follicle Test).

Moving Violation.

• No more 3 in the last 3 years.
• No Careless/Negligent Driving Violations, in past 3 years.
• No Reckless Driving Violations, in past 5 years.

Felonies and Misdemeanors.

• Class A Felony, Must be 10 years old from the date of arrest/conviction and be reviewed.
• Class B or C, Must be outside 7 years from the conviction date.

DUI/DWI.

• No DUI's in a Commercial vehicle ever.
• No more than 2 DUI's in a lifetime.
• No DUI's within the past 5 years.
