Job summary

GEX Transport. seeks Experienced CDL Class A truck drivers for weekly home time and consistent routes in the Eastern Mid-Atlantic region, including NC, VA, MD, PA, DE and DC. Drivers are expected to cover a 1480 mile weekly schedule and enjoy regular home time.

Duties include pre/post trip inspections, on-time freight delivery, accurate log keeping, and clear communication with dispatch and driver managers. The position requires a clean MVR and the ability to pass a DOT drug screen.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Clean motor vehicle record and background checks.
• Able to pass a DOT drug screen (Urine and Hair Follicle).
• Moving violations: no more than 3 in the last 3 years.
• No careless/ negligent driving violations in past 3 years.
• No reckless driving violations in past 5 years.
• Felonies and Misdemeanors: Class A felonies must be 10 years old from arrest/conviction and reviewed; Class B/C outside 7 years.
• DUI/DWI: no DUIs in a commercial vehicle ever; no more than 2 DUIs lifetime; none in past 5 years.

Compensation: $1500 to $1760 per week.

Home Weekly: Day Off, Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs: Out for 5 days and home for 2 days. Operating Area: Eastern Mid-Atlantic region, including North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington DC. Miles per week: 1480.
