Job summary

The Simplot Company in Pocomoke City, MD is seeking a Truck Driver/Operations Support to deliver fertilizer and chemicals, perform equipment maintenance, and ensure DOT/OSHA compliance. This full-time role offers seasonal overtime, home nights, and a path to licenses and endorsements.

Requirements include a Class A CDL, ability to operate heavy equipment, 1+ years of related experience, and strong communication skills. HazMat/Tanker endorsements and TWIC are preferred.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• HazMat & Tanker endorsements preferred (or willing to obtain within 6 months).
• TWIC card preferred (or willing to obtain within 6 months).
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• 1+ years of related experience (agriculture or equipment operation preferred).
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (sprayers, semi-trucks, trailers).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, mobile apps).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and applying fertilizer and chemicals to farms.
• Communicating effectively with customers.
• Blending fertilizer and calibrating application equipment.
• Performing vehicle and equipment maintenance (including welding, pump/engine overhauls).
• Ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and HazMat regulations.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds or more as part of daily tasks.

What You'll Do

As an Operations Support employee, you’ll play a key role in delivering products and services to our customers while maintaining equipment and facilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Delivering and applying fertilizer and chemicals to farms.
