Job summary

Simplot is hiring a Truck Driver/Operations Support 3 in Columbia, SC. You will deliver fertilizer and chemicals to farms, communicate with customers, and support warehouse and inventory tasks in a safety-conscious, full-time role.

Responsibilities include blending fertilizer, calibrating equipment, maintaining vehicles, and ensuring DOT/OSHA/HazMat compliance. Lifting up to 50 pounds, with potential overtime and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• CDL is required; HazMat endorsement is required; Tanker endorsement preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Warehouse experience required (cycle counts, shipping/receiving, order pulling, etc.).
• 1+ years of related experience (agriculture or equipment operation preferred).
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (forklifts, sprayers, semi-trucks, trailers).
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office/Outlook.

What You'll Do

As an Operations Support employee, you’ll play a key role in delivering products and services to our customers while maintaining equipment and facilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Delivering and applying fertilizer and chemicals to farms.
• Communicating effectively with customers.
• Assisting with various warehouse & inventory duties.
• Blending fertilizer and calibrating application equipment.
• Performing vehicle and equipment maintenance (including welding, pump/engine overhauls).
• Ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and HazMat regulations.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds or more as part of daily tasks.

What You Bring

• Class A or B CDL required.
• HazMat endorsement required.
• Tanker endorsement preferred (or willing to obtain within 6 months).
