Job summary

The Simplot Company in Columbia, SC, is seeking a Truck Driver/Operations Support 3 to join our team. You will deliver and apply fertilizer and chemicals, blend products, calibrate equipment, and perform maintenance on vehicles and machinery while ensuring DOT/OSHA/HazMat compliance.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL required.
• Tanker endorsement preferred (or willing to obtain within 6 months).
• 1+ years of related experience (agriculture or equipment operation).
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (forklifts, sprayers, semi-trucks, trailers).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, mobile apps).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and applying fertilizer and chemicals to farms.
• Communicating effectively with customers.
• Blending fertilizer and calibrating application equipment.
• Performing vehicle and equipment maintenance (including welding, pump/engine overhauls).
• Ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and HazMat regulations.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds or more as part of daily tasks.

What You’ll Do

As an Operations Support employee, you’ll play a key role in delivering products and services to our customers while maintaining equipment and facilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
