Qualifications

• Ability to operate assigned vehicles safely and comply with transportation, cargo securement, and vehicle inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver material, equipment, supplies, and containers according to instructions and schedules.
• Inspect vehicles before and after operation, document deficiencies, report safety concerns.
• Verify material against manifests and inspect shipping containers for damage or suitability.
• Load/unload using forklifts or pallet jacks when qualified.
• Secure cargo with load restraints, tarps, and wrapping to prevent loss.
• Transport hazardous, classified, sensitive, or controlled material as required.
• Maintain trip tickets, driver logs, vehicle inspection records, and delivery records.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, customers, and reps regarding pickups and transport issues.

Truck Driver - Navy Logistics and Material Transportation (6359) Location Crane, IN Job Code 6359 # of Openings 1

Ghostrock , a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking Truck Drivers to support Navy Property Management and Logistics services.

Position Responsibilities:

Pick up and deliver material, equipment, supplies, and containers according to authorized instructions and schedules.

Inspect vehicles before and immediately after operation, document deficiencies, and report operational or safety concerns.

Verify material against manifests and inspect shipping containers for damage, leakage, deterioration, and suitability for transport.

Load and unload vehicles using authorized material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, when properly qualified.

Secure cargo using appropriate load restraints, wrapping, and tarps to prevent damage or loss during transportation.

Follow applicable procedures for transporting hazardous, classified, sensitive, and controlled material.

Maintain trip tickets, driver’s logs, vehicle inspection records, delivery records, and accident reports.

Obtain required delivery signatures and maintain proof-of-delivery documentation.

Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, customers, and representatives regarding pickups, deliveries, and transportation issues.

Position Requirements:

Required Qualifications

More than one year of relevant truck driving or material transportation experience.

Active Secret security clearance.

Ability to obtain and maintain the Commercial Driver’s License class, endorsements, and other operator qualifications required for assigned vehicles.

Ability to operate assigned vehicles safely and comply with transportation, cargo securement, and vehicle inspection requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience operating heavy trucks, including vehicles with air brakes and manual or automatic transmissions.

Experience supporting Navy or Department of Defense material transportation and warehouse operations.

Experience maintaining manifests, delivery documentation, vehicle inspection records, and driver’s logs.
