Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Truck Driver Class A for a direct hire opportunity in Hayward, CA within the metals industry. This role is ideal for an experienced CDL Class A driver who takes pride in safe driving, professional customer service, and reliable transportation of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport materials to designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Secure, verify, and transport loads while following all applicable regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and required transportation records.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse teams, customers, and site personnel.
• Represent the company with a high level of reliability, safety awareness, and customer service.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay rate: $28 to $29 per hour.
• Job type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Safely transport metals, aluminium, or construction materials using a Class A commercial vehicle.
• Complete vehicle inspections, maintain driving logs, and follow DOT compliance requirements.
• Secure loads properly and support safe, accurate, on-time deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations teams, and delivery contacts.
• Valid CDL Class A license.
• 3 to 5 years of professional truck driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safe driving practices, and vehicle inspection requirements.
