Job summary

Ryder isimmediatelyhiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Richmond, CA with weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career. Earn $30/hour with overtime after 40 hours and per diem pay for nights. Home or travel details vary by route; sign-on and tenure bonuses are offered.

Routes are regional/OTR with day cab or sleeper trucks. Training is provided; safety and compliance are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating safety hazards, maintaining logs
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting when required
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $30.00 Per Hour
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $30.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Paid Travel
• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31
• Sign on Bonus: Pays $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
