Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for a regional OTR route out of Richmond, CA. The position offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for bonuses and paid time off.

Expected duties include safe operation of day cab or sleeper tractors, driving 40+ hours per week, and travel across the Western 11 states. PTO starts Day 1, with uniforms, boot allowance, and 401(k) matching provided.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test, Background and Motor Vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification from the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour Base Pay Plus Additional $1 for Every 3 Certifications/Endorsements
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Paid Travel
• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test

• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
