Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Richmond, CA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate on a regional OTR route across the Western states. You will be paid weekly and eligible for overtime after 40 hours, with per diem pay and a sign-on bonus framework.

The position includes paid training, a 40+ hour workweek, and a path to top earners who reach the $120k+ annual level for top drivers. Medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement plans are offered after a short waiting period.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Hourly Pay: $30.00 Per Hour




• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours




• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week




• Per Diem Pay: $30.00 per night




• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper




• Paid Travel




• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31




• Sign on Bonus: Pays $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days




• Paid Training




• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR




• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR

• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
