Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Las Vegas, NV, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Drivers earn $28.00 per hour base plus $1 per 3 certifications, overtime after 40 hours, and $50.00 per night in per diem.

Weekends and overtime available; training is provided to start a long-term career with Ryder. Ryder provides a 401(k) with company match, paid travel, and a tenure bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass Ryder drug test and background check including DMV verification for last 3 years.
• Must have Class A CDL with valid endorsements.
• 9 months of experience in past 3 years, or 2 years in last 5, or 5 years in last 10.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, and Ryder policies.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $28.00 Per Hour Base Pay Plus Additional $1 for Every 3 Certifications/Endorsements
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Paid Travel
• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31

• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
