Job summary

Carter Lumber in Georgia is seeking a Shuttle CDL Delivery Specialist to transport materials to our locations safely and on schedule. This full-time role offers salary-based pay with bonus opportunities and no-touch freight; loads are secured and sometimes tarped, with forklift loading/unloading.

You will provide friendly service at loading and delivery sites, follow DOT regulations, pass pre-employment screening, and maintain a clean Class A CDL.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Flatbed experience.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Successfully pass required DOT pre-employment screening.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to locations safely and on schedule.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service at loading and delivery sites.
• Secure the load and tarp the product when required.
• No touch freight.
• Material will be loaded and unloaded with a forklift.

Description

As one of our Shuttle CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting materials to our locations in a safe and timely manner. There are several locations to be serviced throughout the state. This is a full-time driving position, salary based pay with opportunity for bonuses. You will provide friendly and professional customer service at the loading and delivery sites. You are responsible for securing the load and occasionally tarping the product. No touch freight! Material will be loaded and unloaded with a forklift.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record
