Job summary

BFS Petroleum Products, Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, LP gas, and other products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

The role requires pre/post-trip inspections, accurate record-keeping, and basic vehicle maintenance in addition to complying with DOT regulations. The ideal candidate holds a CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsements, is able to lift up to 75 lbs, and can climb up to 15 ft.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Commercial driver's license with hazardous material and tanker endorsements.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Able to climb up to 15 ft.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fuel oil, gasoline, LP gas, and related products safely to customers.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure road worthiness.
• Open valves and fill tanks as required.
• Read gauges/meters and record loaded quantities.
• Document deliveries and issue customer tickets.
• Perform daily bulk plant maintenance and light truck maintenance.
• Complete required paperwork (shipping papers, duty hours).
• Maintain knowledge of DOT regulations for CMV operation and hazardous materials.

Job Title: Truck DriverReporting Relationship: Reports to – Director of OperationsBasic Function:A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.Essential Functions:a. Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.b. Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;c. Opens valves/fills tank.d. Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.e. Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.f. Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)g. Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.h. Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;Qualifications:a. 21 years of age; andb.
