Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to deliver fuel oil, gasoline, and LP products to customers. The role requires pre/post trip inspections, accurate loading/unloading, and proper documentation of quantities transported.

Candidates must hold a CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, be at least 21, and able to lift up to 75 lbs; he/she should be comfortable with climbing up to 15 ft and adhering to DOT requirements for hazardous materials transport.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Commercial driver's license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and climb up to 15 ft.

Responsibilities

• Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers.
• Performs pre and post trip inspections for road-worthiness.
• Operates pumps and reads gauges to load/unload and records quantities.
• Issues tickets to customers and completes required shipping paperwork.
• Maintains daily truck and bulk plant maintenance and routine documentation.
• Follows Department of Transportation rules for operating a CMV and handling hazardous materials.

Job Title: Truck DriverReporting Relationship: Reports to – Director of OperationsBasic Function:A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.Essential Functions:Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank.Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;Qualifications:a. 21 years of age; andb.
