Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. seeks a truck driver to deliver fuel oil, gasoline, and LP safely to multiple locations. The role covers pre/post-trip inspections, loading operations, ticketing, and routine maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

Qualified candidates are 21+ with a CDL including hazmat and tanker endorsements, and must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and climb up to 15 ft. Strong adherence to DOT rules is essential.

Responsibilities

• Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers.
• Loads fuel oil by driving into loading racks and opening valves or starting pumps.
• Reads gauges, records quantity loaded, and issues tickets to customers.
• Performs daily maintenance of bulk plant and light truck maintenance.
• Completes required paperwork such as shipping papers and duty hours reports.
• Maintains knowledge of DOT regulations for operating CMVs and responding to emergencies.

Job Title: Truck DriverReporting Relationship: Reports to – Director of OperationsBasic Function:A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.Essential Functions:Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank.Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;Qualifications:a. 21 years of age; andb.
