Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a delivery driver in Tampa, FL to ensure timely distribution of merchandise to stores and customers. You will operate a heavy vehicle, perform daily inspections, and maintain security of cargo.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least 1 year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van, or an equivalent mix of training and experience. CDL is preferred but not required.

• 1 year of experience driving a heavy‑duty truck or large van, or equivalent training/experience.
• Valid State Driver's License and DOT Medical Card are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise to stores and customers.
• Perform special pickups and deliveries, collect returned items if needed.
• Load store deliveries and sold merchandise on trucks in an organized manner.
• Clean and secure the vehicle and conduct daily inspections (oil, water, tires) to maintain condition.

Job description

Responsible for being knowledgeable of the geographical area assigned and operates the vehicle within state/federal statutes and/or guidelines. Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public. Deliver merchandise to stores and deliver sold merchandise to customers. Perform special pickups and deliveries, pick up vehicles at the garage, and other similar activities. Clean and secure the vehicle and equipment; conduct daily inspections of the vehicle's oil, water, tires, and other items of the vehicle to maintain good operating condition. Load store deliveries and sold merchandise on trucks in the most organized manner.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED preferred but not required and one year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Licenses and CertificationsValid State Driver's LicenseValid DOT Medical CardValid Commercial Driver's License, desired but not required.
