Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred in Transportation/Logistics.
• 2-3 years of dispatching experience for trucks; moving/relocation experience preferred.
• Strong scheduling, route planning, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Experience in customer service and generating freight bills and invoices.
• Household goods experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Transportation Management Software (TMS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan driver routes by coordinating with Planners.
• Assist drivers in selecting efficient courses to fulfill routes.
• Coordinate with drivers and agents for available shipments and labor.
• Communicate with customers and coordinators to record shipment details and scheduling.
• Prepare dispatch documents, and generate bills and invoices.
• Maintain records of dispatched calls, routes, and delivery/pickup times.
• Ensure DOT compliance and safety regulations are followed.
