Job summary

U-Haul seeks a Rebuild Specialist at our Minnesota shop to tear down and rebuild component truck parts for Ford, GM, International and Toyota vehicles. Requires prior repair coursework and the ability to use micrometers, presses, and power tools.

You will diagnose failures, select replacement parts, and work with safety-focused practices in a shop environment. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have repair experience and completed repair courses to U-Haul standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and newsletters.
• Strong attention to safety and procedure compliance.
• Ability to determine cause of failure and repair or replace as needed.
• Identify failed parts vs reusable ones to keep repair costs down.

Responsibilities

• Tear down and rebuild component truck parts per U-Haul standards.
• Identify failed parts and determine causes of failure for repair or replacement.
• Operate a motor vehicle safely and maintain driving record.
• Use basic hand tools, power tools, micrometer, and other equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety in the work area and report accidents.
