U-Haul International, Inc. seeks skilled Engine Specialists (Mechanic) to maintain and repair its fleet, using proprietary tech and standard welding tools. Ideal candidates diagnose drivability issues, replace gasoline-engine parts, and perform preventive maintenance across diverse vehicles.

Applicants should have their own tools, a high school diploma, and the ability to work as part of a team while adhering to safety standards in a dynamic, customer-facing setting.

Qualifications

• Diagnose mechanical and drivability problems on vehicles.
• Repair or replace major or minor gasoline-engine parts and related components.
• Must have your own tools to perform repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition by inspecting and testing; identify worn or damaged parts.
• Overhaul and repair engines; disassemble and replace defective parts; reassemble and adjust.
• Perform preventive maintenance and oiling/lubricating engines and chassis.
• Install timing gears, crankshafts, bearings, cylinders, and drive systems.
• Communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as directed by supervisor.
