Job summary

H-E Parts International is seeking a shop technician to rebuild major components for mechanical drive heavy equipment trucks, including rear wheel groups and brakes. You will work in a hands-on shop environment performing teardown and assembly tasks with attention to quality and safety.

The role involves reading maintenance manuals, using precision measuring tools, and preparing inspection documents. A GED or high school diploma and mechanical experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least two years mechanical work experience or equivalent education.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Experience in heavy equipment repair; mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of precision measuring tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety: perform all tasks safely using PPE and follow company policy.
• Teardown and rebuild large and small components and assemblies.
• Move components with overhead cranes, jib hoists, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
• Read maintenance manuals and drawings.
• Use micrometers and precision measuring tools for inspection and teardown.
• Prepare and document inspection packets and upload photos for quotes and estimates.
