Job summary

Knight Transportation in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a maintenance technician to service company-owned equipment, including tractors and trailers. You will perform inspections and repairs, ensuring OEM and DOT compliance while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

The role requires basic vehicle knowledge, ability to read manuals, and good computer skills. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required; experience is a plus and a strong commitment to teamwork is valued.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of vehicle systems and basic vehicle maintenance preferred.
• Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills.
• Must possess excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality inspection, warranty and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, and support equipment.
• Perform Body repairs on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, company, etc.).
• Inspect, analyze and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, reassemble document damage/ warranty of Body components; including but not limited to; Bumpers, Hoods, Doors, Cab Extenders and any other components.
• Perform Body repairs; including but not limited to; Body filler, Fiber Glass and plastic repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
