Knight Transportation is hiring an experienced maintenance technician to service company tractors, trailers, and support equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and conduct repairs to OEM and DOT specifications.

Strong reading of repair manuals and familiarity with diagnostic software are required. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and excellent customer service skills.

Competenze

• 3+ years' experience with on the job training or diploma in vehicle maintenance from vocational or trade school required.
• Must possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required.
• High School Diploma or combination of training and/or experience required.
• Drivers license required.
• Must possess superior customer service skills.
• Must be able to read and understand repair manuals, understanding and ability to complete/fill tags and repair orders.
• Must possess excellent computer skills.

Mansioni

• Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
• May perform lead mechanic duties.
• Perform inspections to identify damaged or faulty components to meet company, OEM and DOT specifications and perform preventative maintenance.
• Repair or replace body components including cab, panels, glass, mirrors, restraints, safety devices, and steering/suspension systems.
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble heavy truck and trailer components including engines, transmissions, axles and related systems.
• Test drive equipment if certified and provide offsite roadside repairs as directed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and guide junior mechanics.
