Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with on the job training or diploma in vehicle maintenance from vocational or trade school required.
• Must possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required.
• High School Diploma or combination of training and/or experience required.
• Drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
• Perform inspections to identify damaged or faulty components to meet company, OEM and DOT specifications and perform preventative maintenance.
• Repair or replace body components including cab, body panels, glass, mirrors, restraints, safety devices, radio, upholstery, telematics and steering/suspension systems.
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble and re-assemble heavy truck and trailer components including diesel engines, transmissions and axles.
• Perform offsite repairs and roadside assistance as directed by leadership.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Provide guidance to mechanics related to diagnostics and repair processes.
