Job summary

Knight Transportation, Inc. is seeking an entry-level vehicle maintenance technician to inspect and repair tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and other equipment. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and reliability in a fast-growing company.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, disassemble/repair heavy components, handle tire maintenance, and may test drive equipment if certified. A strong safety mindset and good computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of vehicle systems and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals, filling tags and repair orders.
• Must possess excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs; disassemble/repair heavy truck and trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance, including repairs and identification.
• Possibly test drive equipment if certified; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere to meet company demands and expectations.
