Knight Transportation, Inc. is seeking a skilled mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and complex repairs on our company fleet, including tractors, trailers, and refrigerated units.

You will diagnose issues, replace components, and ensure safety and DOT compliance while working on-site at our facility. The role requires 3+ years in vehicle maintenance, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to read repair manuals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with on the job training or diploma in vehicle maintenance from vocational or trade school required.
• Must possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required.
• Strong reading comprehension of repair manuals and proper tagging/repair orders.

Responsabilités

• Perform quality preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on company equipment, including tractors and trailers.
• Repair or replace body components, engines, transmissions, and suspensions to OEM/DOT specifications.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform both minor and complex repairs.
• Possibly lead or oversee other mechanics and provide guidance on diagnostics.
