Job summary

University of Nebraska - Lincoln is seeking an Educational Specialist to support high school students in the TRIO Upward Bound program in the Lincoln Metro area. You will craft individualized academic plans and provide advising to help students succeed and prepare for postsecondary education.

The role includes developing college prep activities, assisting with the Upward Bound summer program, and guiding students through postsecondary pathways, all within a collaborative, student-centered

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field.
Experience providing educational learning activities and college prep planning.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Formulate and implement an educational plan addressing each participant’s academic and leadership needs.
Provide academic advising and instructional support to retain participants in the program.
Develop and implement college preparatory activities and programs.
Assist in the Upward Bound summer program at UNL.
Guide participants with postsecondary pathway planning.
