Job summary

Texas Southern University is seeking a TRIO Talent Search Project Coordinator to oversee coordination and daily operations of the program. You will assist the Project Director with planning, monitoring, and evaluating services for eligible middle and high school students.

Responsibilities include student services, recruitment, workshops, campus visits, documentation, and ensuring compliance with federal TRIO regulations and grant objectives. Some evening/weekend activities are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a closely related field.
• Experience with Federal TRIO programs and serving underserved students.
• Experience coordinating educational programs, student activities, outreach, or related projects.
• Experience advising students regarding academic planning, college admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and postsecondary planning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate TRIO Talent Search program activities and operations.
• Recruitment, target-school outreach, and documentation.
• Monitor and evaluate program progress and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Plan schedules, workshops, campus visits, and student services; maintain records.
