Responsible for providing administrative support to the assigned grant program. Assists in coordinating department awareness events and maintains department website. Accurately updates and maintains time-sensitive records regarding Department of Education federal grant guidelines. This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding. The minimum base pay for this position starts at $16.51 per hour; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate’s education and experience. Certain service members and veterans, and the spouses and family members of such service members and veterans, receive preference and priority. Certain service members may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED One year of related experience Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Professional or similar application Skilled in: Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management Delivering a high level of customer service Performing with a high degree of accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to: Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements: Regular physical attendance required Preferred, but not a must: Knowledge of: Excel, Publisher, Word, and Power-Point Work Environment and Physical Demand: Reach and grasp objects Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl Use of video display terminal Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills Identify and distinguish colors and shades of color Communicate information orally and in writing Receive and understand information through oral and written communication Proofread and check documents for accuracy Work a fluctuating work schedule
