University of Michigan Dearborn is seeking a Program Assistant (TEMP) to coordinate recruitment activities and lead summer programs for high school students. The role involves outreach to underrepresented populations, collaboration with campus offices, and managing multiple workshops and field trips.

The position is part-time, on-site at Dearborn Campus, with extensive travel expected. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Position is temporary, part-time, on-campus in Dearborn, MI.
• Travel extensively during fall, winter and spring seasons is required.
• Experience coordinating programs and outreach to underrepresented groups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with school districts.
• Coordinate our involvement with local nonprofit youth serving organizations.
• Coordinate various summer pre-collegiate/access programs.
• Assist with departmental operations and budgets, strategic planning, policy and procedure development and supervises staff.
• Serve as a liaison with Undergraduate Programs, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Residence Life.
• Responsible for collecting student data and tracking student services provided.
• Responsible for implementing and collecting student evaluations.
• Monitors students' behavior on field trips and during workshops.
• Responsible for assisting and facilitating workshops.
