Job summary

Plymouth State University is seeking a Program Coordinator for TRIO Student Support Services to develop and coordinate educational activities, mentor programs, and cultural experiences for eligible students.

The role involves teaching the Tackling Wicked Problem class, planning weekly sessions, and delivering comprehensive counseling and financial aid assistance. Strong communication, data analysis, and Workday experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (preferably in education or human services) and two years’ counseling experience, or a bachelor’s degree with four years related work.
• Experience with post-secondary students who are low-income, first-generation, or with disabilities is preferred.
• Experience with program planning, student engagement, and retention is required.
• Availability for some nights and weekends.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office) and administrative/data-entry abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; TRIO program experience is a plus.
• Teaching experience in higher education and Workday experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate TRIO Student Support Services activities and long-range educational plans.
• Plan, teach, and facilitate Tackling Wicked Problem class and weekly sessions.
• Coordinate and lead cultural trips and experiences.
• Plan and evaluate mentor training; maintain CRLA certification requirements.
• Create assessment tools and analyze data to improve program effectiveness.
• Provide personal, social, career, and academic counseling including financial literacy and aid applications.
• Collaborate with PASS Office staff and understand other PASS functions.
• Attend orientation sessions and student days, acting as a liaison with students, staff, and the community.
• Enter program data into database systems for grant reporting.
