Job summary

Mountain Empire Community College seeks a TRIO Assistant Director/Advisor to design, coordinate, and evaluate Student Support Services related to grant objectives. You will manage intake, financial aid reviews, mentoring, and follow-up for participants, while implementing transfer planning and intensive advising.

You will maintain a large caseload, track progress, and collaborate with campus and community partners. Some weeks may include limited telework; a restricted funding status applies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, counseling, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years grant-funded or educational program experience.
• 3+ years advising disadvantaged/at-risk students.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and evaluate student support services.
• Plan financial literacy program and grant aid processes.
• Provide intrusive academic advising and course planning.
• Maintain a large caseload with deadlines and ongoing assessment.
• Coordinate transfer planning and campus resource advisement.
