Job summary

Boyd Thermal, now part of Eaton, is seeking a Trim Operator for the Allenton, WI facility. The role covers operating the trim press, inspecting castings, and maintaining production records on a 1st shift with potential for a 2nd shift in the future.

Base salaries are determined by candidate skills, experience, and market conditions; relocation is not offered, and candidates must reside within the immediate area.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate trim press machine.
• Trim, inspect, and pack castings according to procedures.
• Read and follow documented work instructions daily.
• Enter production counts into GuardianERP system.
• Complete production-related documentation (P-Charts, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Carry out duties as defined by Supervisor or Lead.
• Adhere to all safety and manufacturing practices.

Primary Function:

TheTrimOperator plays a vital role in BoydThermal by Eaton’sDie CastingTeam, contributing to the efficiency and quality of our die-cast manufacturing operations. In this position, you willbe responsible foroperatingthetrim press while makingdie-cast components, ensuring that they meet our quality standards and production timelines. Key responsibilities include operatingtrim press, performing quality checks, and collaborating with team members tooptimizethe manufacturing process. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and a commitment tomaintaininga safe and efficient work environment. Adaptability and a team-oriented mindset are crucial as you contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing goals.

This position isfor1stshift (7am-3pmor 6a-2p), possibility for 2nd shift in the future.

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Essential Functions:

• Operate trim pressmachine

• Trim, inspect, and pack castings according to department procedures and part number work instructions

• Read and follow documented work instructions daily

• Enter production counts into GuardianERP system

• Completeproduction-related documentation accurately and thoroughly (P-Charts, etc.)

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

• Carry out duties asdefined by Supervisor or Lead

• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures related to safety, conduction, and manufacturing practices

• Must support and follow the QMS requirements

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

BasicQualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent(GED)

• Ability to effectivelycommunicate with employees at all levels of the organization on a professional level

• Basic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read,listen,analyze, and interpret general business paperwork)

• Ability toaccuratelycomplete shop paperwork

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouchanduse hands to handle tools, parts, and equipment

• Must have the ability to occasionallylift upto50pounds

• Specific vision abilities arerequiredfor this job and include close and distance vision, color, peripheral vision, and ability to focus
