Job summary

Boyd Thermal by Eaton in Woburn, MA seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform a range of complex tasks on production equipment and plant facilities, requiring strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. You will diagnose and repair CNC equipment and presses, following schedules, drawings and vendor guidance.

Preferred CNC experience, punch press familiarity, and vacuum brazing are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience.
• ITAR US person status required and eligibility to work in the U.S.
• No immigration sponsorship; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the location.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures with expert-level troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot CNC equipment and presses using manuals and supplier support.
• Work from maintenance schedules, drawings, diagrams, and written instructions.
• Identify equipment failures and implement timely corrective actions.
• Execute preventive maintenance per the PM schedule.
• Assist on equipment upgrades and installations as needed.
• Perform inspections to prevent breakdowns of facilities and machinery.
• Carry out duties of Maintenance Mechanic B.
• Undertake other related duties as directed.

Job Description Boyd Thermal by Eaton is seeking an {Job Title} in our {Site Name} location. Primary Function: SUMMARY: Functions with minimal supervision and performs a variety of complex tasks involving assembly, installation, maintenance, adjustment and repair of production equipment and/or plant facilities utilizing a broad knowledge of several of the maintenance trades such as electrical, plumbing and mechanical. Strong background and experience in troubleshooting and repair of factory mechanical equipment. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment and mechanical and hydraulic presses is needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. 1. Will utilize expert level trouble shooting skills with hands on approach to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical failures.
2. 2. Will perform trouble shooting and repair of CNC equipment and presses by working with the machine manuals and manufactures support.
3. 3. Will work from maintenance schedules, detailed drawings, diagrams, specifications, prints and written and verbal instructions.
4. 4. Locates and diagnoses complex equipment failure and ensures timely, corrective actions.
5. 5. Execute the preventive maintenance plan according to the PM schedule.
6. 6. Participate on special projects work on equipment upgrade and installations.
7. 7. Makes routine, periodic or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdown of facilities, machinery and equipment.
8. 8. Performs all functions of Maintenance Mechanic B.
9. 9. Performs other related duties as directed.

Qualifications Basic qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience
