AAA USA is actively hiring experienced Trim & Drill Technicians to support advanced aerospace composite manufacturing programs. We are seeking skilled manufacturing professionals with experience working with composite materials, precision trimming, drilling, reaming, countersinking, and aircraft component fabrication.

The Trim & Drill Technician will work with composite aircraft structures and components, including wings, fuselages, horizontal stabilizers, and related parts. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read engineering documentation, and a commitment to safety, quality, and precision workmanship.

Essential Functions:
  • Trim, drill, ream, countersink, deburr, grind, and finish composite aircraft parts and assemblies to engineering specifications.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, drills, routers, grinders, sanders, and other equipment used in composite manufacturing.
  • Measure and mark composite parts with a high degree of accuracy prior to trimming, drilling, and assembly operations.
  • Use templates, molds, jigs, fixtures, and other tooling to locate, trim, drill, and finish aircraft components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, production illustrations, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Determine the appropriate tools, equipment, and processes required to complete assigned manufacturing operations.
  • Perform or assist with first-article inspections and test parts involving complex contours and close tolerances.
  • Verify dimensions, fit, alignment, and workmanship to ensure parts meet engineering and quality requirements.
  • Complete work orders, travelers, inspection records, pick lists, and other required production documentation accurately.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, nonconforming conditions, or changes required to drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
  • Follow established planning, quality, safety, and production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 6S principles.
  • Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing assigned tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with company manufacturing standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Supervisor, Manager, or designated representative.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of comparable composite manufacturing experience or 3 years of general manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working with composite materials, fiberglass, or aircraft structures preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, drills, grinders, sanders, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to close tolerances.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing quality and inspection principles.
  • Ability to learn and follow production processes, technical documentation, and quality standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production requirements and learn new processes and equipment.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while using required PPE.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
