Viking Group, Inc. in Hastings, MI is seeking a valve assembler to position parts according to blueprints and knowledge of the unit being assembled. You will fasten parts with wrenches and pipe compound, ensuring proper torque and a proper seal between parts.

Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and packaging trimmed valves to Viking quality standards, disassembling as needed, and identifying scrap and inventory records. A shift premium applies for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

• Read blueprints and knowledge of unit assembly

Responsabilités

• Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
• Fastens parts together with wrenches and pipe compound ensuring proper torque is used.
• Inspects parts for proper quality and ensure that a proper seal between parts is achieved.
• Tests Trimmed and Pre-Trimmed Valves and Devices according to approval laboratory guidelines.
• Inspects and packages Trimmed Valves according to Viking quality standards.
• Disassembles pre-trimmed valves and packages according to work order instructions.
• Identifies scrap and salvage and records such for inventory purposes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
