Job summary

Viking Corporation is seeking a production worker in Hastings, Michigan to assemble valve components and ensure proper seals according to blueprints and specifications. You will fasten parts with wrenches, verify torque, and perform inspections to maintain quality standards.

The role involves testing trimmed valves and devices, packaging per Viking procedures, and handling scrap/inventory records. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
• Fastens parts together with wrenches and pipe compound assuring proper torque is used.
• Inspects parts for proper quality and ensure that a proper seal between parts is achieved.
• Tests Trimmed and Pre-Trimmed Valves and Devices according to approval laboratory guidelines.
• Inspects and packages Trimmed Valves according to Viking quality standards.
• Disassembles Pre trimmed valves and package according to work order instructions.
• Identifies scrap and salvage and records such for inventory purposes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
