Job summary

Trim AssemblyMI Hastings is seeking a second shift assembler in Hastings, MI. You will position parts per unit or blueprints and secure components with wrenches, ensuring proper torque and seals. You will inspect parts for quality, test valves, and package items according to Viking standards.

The role includes handling trims, basic quality checks, and inventory recording, with a $1.00 shift premium. A high school diploma or GED and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or 1–3 years related experience.
• Experience with manual assembly and reading basic blueprints is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position parts according to unit being assembled or blueprints.
• Fasten parts with wrenches; ensure proper torque.
• Inspect parts for quality and proper seals.
• Test and inspect valves and devices per guidelines.
• Package and label trimmed valves per standards.
• Record scrap and salvage for inventory.

# Trim AssemblyMI Hastings - Hastings, MI 49508## OverviewSalary Range$20.96 - $20.96 HourlyPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftSecondEducation LevelHigh School/GEDTravel PercentageNone## DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES:· Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.· Fastens parts together with wrenches and pipe compound assuring proper torque is used.· Inspects parts for proper Quality and ensure that a produce a proper seal between parts is achieved.· Tests Trimmed and Pre-Trimmed Valves and Devices according to approval laboratory guide lines.· Inspects and packages Trimmed Valves according to Viking quality standards.· Disassembles Pre trimmed valves and package according to work order instructions.· Identifies scrap and salvage and records such for inventory purposes.· Performs other duties as assigned.\\*\\* $1.00 Shift Premium additional \\*\\*## QualificationsEXPERIENCE:· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
