Job summary

Viking Corporation in Hastings, Michigan, is seeking a diligent assembler to position parts according to unit knowledge or blueprints, fastening with wrenches and ensuring proper torque. The role requires inspecting parts for quality and sealing integrity, testing trimmed valves and devices per guidelines, and packaging to Viking standards.

Additional duties include disassembly and packaging of trimmed components, plus identifying scrap for inventory records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:· Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.· Fastens parts together with wrenches and pipe compound assuring proper torque is used.· Inspects parts for proper Quality and ensure that a produce a proper seal between parts is achieved.· Tests Trimmed and Pre-Trimmed Valves and Devices according to approval laboratory guide lines.· Inspects and packages Trimmed Valves according to Viking quality standards.· Disassembles Pre trimmed valves and package according to work order instructions.· Identifies scrap and salvage and records such for inventory purposes.· Performs other duties as assigned.** Earn an additional +$1.00/hour for 2nd & 3rd shift **EXPERIENCE:· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
