The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians Tribal Government is seeking a Human Resources Generalist (full-time) to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, timekeeping and compliance. The role partners with leadership to ensure HR practices align with LRBOI policies and goals, handling confidential information with care.

Formación

• Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Two (2) years’ experience in a generalist or similar HR role with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices; or Five (5) years of experience in a human resource role with demonstrated knowledge in HR topics such as Policy Administration, Benefits, Health and Safety, Recruiting and Employee Relations;
• Technical skills of an intermediate to advanced user of MS Office 365 software, HRIS and recruiting software;
• Valid Michigan Operator License with a driving record that qualifies under the Tribe’s auto insurance policy.
• THRP I and II certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains both physical and electronic employee personnel files and completes employment-related documents.
• Coordinates compensation and benefits programs and ensures compliance with laws and policies.
• Verifies and enters data into HRIS ensuring accuracy.
• Assists with maintaining performance management system.
• Completes recruiting activities including postings, tracking applicants, interviewing, background checks, and onboarding new hires.
• Assists in design, implementation, training, and coaching of personnel policies and procedures.
• Reviews compliance training and documents training records.
• Promotes positive employee relations and assists in workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Maintains confidentiality and compliance with tribal, federal, or state laws.
• Prepares reports and documents to support HR operations; represents department in meetings as needed.
