Baker Tilly US is seeking a Manager to serve Tribal government clients by delivering accounting services and grants management. The role involves monthly closings, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers, ensuring compliance and high-quality deliverables.

The candidate will develop policies, work with clients to improve processes, and support audit readiness. Occasional travel to client sites and conferences is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in government or not-for-profit accounting.
• Experience in grants management and/or governmental accounting standards implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and commitment to client service.
• Proficiency with MS Office and grant management software.

Responsabilités

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers.
• Prepares polished deliverables for clients; ensures timely client deliverables.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborates with clients to understand current business practices, identifies opportunities for improvement, and helps update policies and procedures.
• Performs project start-up activities, follows project work plans, adheres to schedules, and attends kickoff meetings.
• Coordinates with clients during the audit process and helps prepare for audits.
• Assists with growing the practice and reviews team work for accuracy.
• Acts as an integral member of the Business Consulting Services team.
• Occasionally travels to client locations, firm trainings, or industry conferences.
