The role focuses on tenant-contested evictions and the timely production of documents during the trial phase of unlawful detainer proceedings. The successful candidate will possess 3–5 years of paralegal experience, an ABA-approved certification or equivalent, strong drafting and writing skills, and familiarity with San Francisco County Courts.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years paralegal experience in a high-volume environment.
• Trial and litigation experience with San Francisco County Courts required.
• Excellent writing skills with drafting of legal documents.
• Strong communication skills via telephone and email; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research, respond to discovery, and draft legal documents and pleadings.
• Schedule, prepare, and serve motions and oppositions, including motions to compel, ex parte motions, demurrers, motions to quash, and motions to strike.
• Support trial attorneys with preparation of trial binders and jury trial documents.
• Perform e-filing, paper filing, and administrative duties as needed by the department.
• Assist in client contact regarding responsive pleadings, hearing dates, and court information.

Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.We currently offer an in-office/hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm.
