Job summary

Fort Sanders Perinatal Center, part of Covenant Health, seeks a Triage Registered Nurse for the Triage Clinic in Knoxville, TN. This full-time role handles intake, triage, and coordination of the triage workflow, reporting to Clinical Supervisors and Office Managers.

Qualifications include diplomas in nursing (ADN/BSN/MSN), 3+ years of triage experience, and a Tennessee license. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program with diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN.
• Minimum of three (3) years of medical office triage experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Experience with Basic Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers calls and triage per provider contracts and staffing capacities.
• Receives orders from MD and communicates changes to staff; co-signs orders when needed.
• Documents calls and interventions in the clinical record or messaging system.
• Performs initial telephone assessment using approved protocols and discusses actions with patient.
• Communicates MD orders and changes to appropriate staff.
