Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1-3 years in OR, S.D.S., or PACU preferred.
• Registered Nurse license with Tennessee Board of Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate clinical expertise across age-specific populations.
• Conduct telephone assessments balancing quality with efficiency.
• Perform pre-admission telephone assessments and relay findings to the team.
• Alert anesthesia/surgeon to labs, assessments, or needs before surgery.
• Communicate pre-operative/instructions and arrival times to patients/families.
• Respond to caller inquiries in a timely, helpful manner.
• Document encounters accurately and promptly in the EMR.
• Participate in quality/process improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
