Job summary

Piedmont Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Triage Nurse for the Nursing department at the Carrboro, NC clinic. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, patient education, and telephone triage, supporting providers, and coordinating care with the health-care team.

The role requires an RN or LPN licensed in NC with BCLS, at least 1 year of RN experience (BSN with CHN coursework may waive the requirement). Training is provided, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current/Valid License: NC RN or LPN; BCLS required.
• Experience: 1 year RN experience preferred; BSN with CHN coursework may waive.
• Immunizations: up-to-date and medically cleared.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation.
• Provides support to providers and coordinates with the health-care team for complex patient care.
• Answers or returns calls; provides onsite and telephone triage.
• Mentors orientation of new staff; supports Medical Assistants.
