Vail Health in Colorado is seeking a Triage RN to perform care coordination and professional nursing functions, assessing severity of health concerns using protocols to determine dispositions for emergency care, urgent care or clinic appointments. The RN will triage patient calls and portal messages, document in the EHR, and support care coordination within the clinical team.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Nursing assessment skills with/without visual inspection utilizing basic nursing theory required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations required.

Responsabilités

• Performs care coordination and professional nursing functions to assess the severity of health concerns using protocols.
• Triages patient calls and portal messages and supports providers in triaging care.
• Documents in electronic health record (EHR) the triage assessment, plan and follow-up.
