Job summary

Together Women's Health, LLC is seeking a full-time Triage Registered Nurse (RN) at Women First Rochester Hills to join the team for the upcoming January opening. Training begins mid-December to prep for the launch, with priority given to Athena EMR experience.

As a Triage RN, you will assess patients, determine urgency, coordinate tests, and educate patients. OB/GYN experience is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• State of Michigan RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• Athena EMR experience highly preferred.
• OB/GYN experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephone triage and patient education.
• Handle physician calls, pharmacy calls, set up appointments or tests.
• Complete paperwork such as refilling medications and ordering labs/x-rays.
• Assess patients, determine priority, and refer for emergency care.
• Counsel patients on lifestyle, medications, side effects, and interactions.
• Coordinate tests and pre-operative testing with staff.
• Communicate follow-up appointments and scheduling to patients.
• Develop office protocols and training documents.
• Report test results to patients as directed by physician.

Women First Rochester Hills, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full-time Triage Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team!

As an experienced practitioner, the Triage Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, determining the severity of patients conditions, and prioritizing care based on the urgency of symptoms.

Applicants with Athena EMR experience will be given priority.

Responsibilities

• Performs telephone triage, patient education, handling of physician phone calls, pharmacy calls; may assist by calling to set up appointments or arrange hospital tests or admissions
• Completes paperwork such as refilling medication, ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, FMLA, etc.
• Assessing patients and determining priority and referring for emergency care
• Counsels' patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions using an appropriate psychosocial communication level
• Communicates to patients and office coordinators follow-up appointments, ancillary and/or pre-operative testing and scheduling needed for patient
• Coordinates ordering of tests/procedures with other clinical staff
• Respond to patient questions and concerns as liaison between physician and patient
• Developing office protocols and training documents
• Reports all test results to the patient as directed by the physician
