Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an LPN for the Central Carolina Surgery office in Greensboro, NC. The LPN will perform telephone triage, provide clinical support, patient education, and care coordination, and will collaborate with providers to ensure timely communication and appropriate actions.

Responsibilities include documenting in the EMR, returning calls, scheduling appointments, and performing nurse visits and procedural tasks within the scope of practice, such as wound care and post-procedure

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved or accredited Practical Nurse program.
• No prior experience required.
• Telephone Triage experience preferred.
• Current NC LPN licensure or NLC; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone triage, clinical support, patient education, care coordination, and follow-up.
• Communicate with providers regarding patient concerns, changes in condition, test results, and instructions.
• Document all patient communications and interventions in the EMR.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Perform nurse visits and clinical procedures within scope (e.g., wound care, suture/staple/drain removal, dressing changes).
