Job summary

Specialty Building Products seeks a Regional Operations Performance Manager for the Tri-State Region to drive standards, lead improvement projects, and support local leaders. You will work with Divisional VPs, Regional Directors, Branch Managers, Operations Managers, supervisors, and front-line employees to improve service, productivity, quality, and cost.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships, using data to solve problems, and ensuring new processes stick after completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least five years in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or operations across multiple locations.
• Experience leading improvement projects with measurable results.
• Proficient in analyzing operational and financial data with Excel; Power BI or similar tools preferred.
• Ability to influence executives, managers, supervisors, and front-line staff even without direct reporting lines.
• Willingness to travel 50-70% including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional projects and improvement meetings to solve problems.
• Implement operations-improvement programs and tailor rollout for each location.
• Review warehouse, transportation, manufacturing, inventory, and office processes to identify delays and inefficiencies.
• Create and implement clear work procedures, visual tools, daily operating reviews, labor plans, and performance checks.
• Collaborate with local leaders to optimize warehouse layout, product flow, and employee productivity.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and tracking methods; assign actions and measure results.
• Analyze operating and financial metrics to identify root causes and practical actions.
• Support branch leaders in sustaining new processes and standards.
